IT Security Analyst

Job Summary

Helical Pile Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst to protect its information assets across the Calgary region. This role reports to the Manager of IT Security and will work closely with operations and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities across the corporate network.
• Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits for on‑site and remote systems.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Provide incident response, forensic analysis, and remediation guidance.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and project managers to ensure security controls are integrated into new and existing infrastructure.
• Maintain security documentation, reporting, and compliance evidence for regulatory requirements.
• Stay current on emerging threats, trends, and technologies relevant to the construction and deep‑foundations sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in IT security, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud services, and Windows/Linux system hardening.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
