About This Position
Job Summary
Lead the talent acquisition strategy for Cuso International, a Canadian non‑profit, based in Ottawa, Ontario. This full‑time, permanent role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and offers a competitive salary of CAD $74,909‑$93,636 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute end‑to‑end recruitment strategies to attract top talent for domestic and international development projects.
- Partner with senior leaders to understand workforce needs and create tailored hiring plans.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
- Lead and mentor a small recruitment team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) data integrity and generate regular hiring metrics reports.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian employment legislation and Cuso’s equity, diversity, and inclusion policies.
- Promote Cuso’s employer brand through social media, career fairs, and university partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience, preferably in the non‑profit or international development sector.
- Proven ability to fill senior‑level and specialized roles.
- Strong communication skills in English; fluency in French strongly preferred, Spanish an asset.
- Demonstrated expertise with ATS platforms and HRIS systems.
- Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
- Leadership experience with a track record of coaching and developing talent acquisition staff.
