Job Summary
Ledcor is hiring a Yard Worker in Port Moody, Greater Vancouver, BC. In this temporary, full‑time role you will travel to multiple job sites across British Columbia to keep material laydown yards safe, clean and organized while supporting inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily upkeep of material laydown yards, including sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal.
- Maintain orderly storage of tools, equipment and materials to ensure easy access and safety.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory tracking, logging deliveries and updating yard records.
- Load, unload and relocate materials as directed by site supervisors.
- Coordinate with other jobsite support staff to meet project schedules.
- Travel to and from remote job sites throughout BC, adhering to company safety and travel policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous yard or warehouse experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lb) and perform physical labour in varying weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability for a 12‑month contract with potential for extension.
