OT Network and SCADA Technician

The OT Network and SCADA Technician role at Yukon Energy Corporation is a permanent, full‑time position based in Whitehorse, Yukon. You will keep critical power‑generation and distribution systems connected, secure, and operating smoothly across the territory.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade OT network infrastructure linking plants, substations, and the control centre.
• Configure, monitor, and support SCADA hardware and software to ensure real‑time data integrity.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and perform regular vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate with field engineers and operations staff to resolve connectivity issues quickly.
• Document network topologies, change‑control procedures, and incident reports.
• Provide on‑call support for emergency outages and system restorations.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, or related field.
• 3+ years experience with industrial Ethernet, fiber optics, and SCADA platforms (e.g., IEC 60870‑5‑104, DNP3).
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, VPNs, firewalls, and VLAN design.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in remote environments.
• Valid Yukon driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote sites.

Compensation & Benefits
