Job Summary
LA Networks is hiring a Network Operations Center Engineer II in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, US. This full‑time role offers a salary of $58,130 per year and focuses on monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Cisco‑based network infrastructures for a leading Cisco Partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 NOC dashboards and alarms for LAN, WAN, and data‑center environments.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, escalating complex issues to senior engineers or Cisco support as needed.
- Perform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patch management on routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
- Document incident tickets, root‑cause analyses, and corrective action plans in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with client IT teams and internal engineering staff to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Participate in on‑call rotation, providing after‑hours support and emergency response.
- Assist in capacity planning, performance tuning, and network design reviews.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Cisco technologies, certifications, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Network Operations Center or similar environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (e.g., Catalyst, Nexus, ISR).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, BGP, OSPF, and VPN technologies.
- CCNA or higher certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
- Valid US work authorization.
