Job Summary

MalaceHR is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician in Kansas City, Jackson County, US. This full‑time, on‑site role supports automated equipment in a busy warehouse/distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems, robotic arms, and other automated material‑handling equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibrations to ensure optimal uptime.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, PLC programming tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize production delays.
• Document service activities, parts usage, and update maintenance logs in the CMMS.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new robotic workcells and automation upgrades.
• Provide technical training and support to operators on safe equipment use.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years hands‑on experience with industrial automation, PLCs (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens), and robotic systems.
• Proficiency reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings.
• Basic programming skills for motion control and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional overtime.
