Job Summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts in Clayton, Saint Louis County. This full‑time role works three 12‑hour nights per week with a rotating third‑weekend schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in ICUs and on general floors during night shifts (18:45 – 07:15).
• Administer ventilator support, airway management, and oxygen therapy according to physician orders.
• Participate in emergency response teams and code situations.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Precept and mentor respiratory therapy students as part of the teaching hospital mission.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Cover designated holidays and rotate third weekends as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong preference for active AARC membership.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work night shifts, holidays, and rotating weekends.

Compensation & Benefits
