About This Position
Job Summary
Unum Group is seeking a visionary VP, Global Executive Compensation to lead compensation strategy for senior leaders worldwide, based in Portland, Cumberland County, US.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and continuously improve global executive compensation programs aligned with corporate goals.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of compensation analysts, consultants and legal partners.
- Conduct market benchmarking, salary surveys and competitive analysis to ensure best‑in‑class pay structures.
- Advise C‑suite and Board of Directors on compensation philosophy, equity awards, long‑term incentives and regulatory compliance.
- Drive data‑driven decision making using analytics, dashboards and predictive modeling.
- Oversee communication and disclosure of executive pay in SEC filings and proxy statements.
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion in pay practices across all regions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years progressive experience in executive compensation, preferably in a multinational setting.
- Strong knowledge of US and international compensation regulations (e.g., IRS, SEC, EU directives).
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in compensation software and data visualization tools.
- Proven leadership ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage global teams.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or related field; CPA or CECP is a plus.
