Safety Technician

Job Summary

ABM is hiring a Safety Technician in Phoenix, Maricopa County, US, to ensure safe electrical installations in a semiconductor environment. This full‑time role offers a salary of $88,284.26 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety inspections of electrical work areas and equipment.
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend engineering or administrative controls.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, NEC, and site‑specific safety standards.
• Develop and update safety documentation, checklists, and incident reports.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety training sessions for project teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate safety plans into project schedules.
• Investigate near‑misses and incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper storage and availability.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of safety experience in semiconductor, high‑tech manufacturing, or electrical installation settings.
• Certification such as OSHA 30‑hour General Industry, CSP, or CIH is a strong advantage.
• Solid knowledge of electrical safety codes (NFPA 70E) and hazardous material handling.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to train diverse work crews.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
