Job Summary

Healthcare Management Administrators (HMA) is seeking an Operations Data Analyst II (Healthcare Claims Processing) in Bellevue, King County, WA. This full‑time role supports medium to large‑size employer health plans by analyzing claims data, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, cleanse, and validate large volumes of healthcare claims data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that track claim processing metrics, turnaround times, and cost trends.
  • Identify data anomalies, root‑cause issues, and recommend process improvements to reduce claim errors and denials.
  • Collaborate with claims operations, finance, and IT teams to design automated workflows and predictive models.
  • Support audit readiness by preparing data extracts and documentation for internal and external reviews.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Stay current with HIPAA, CMS, and state regulations affecting claims processing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare claims analysis or operations analytics.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python/R, and data‑visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting findings to cross‑functional teams.
