Job Summary
Diamond Baseball Holdings is seeking a Coordinator, Mascot Community Relations to lead the mascot program for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in Mission Bend, Fort Bend County, TX. This full‑time role blends performance, community outreach, and grassroots marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead performer for all mascot appearances, including in‑game entertainment and community events.
- Develop and execute a year‑round mascot schedule that aligns with team promotions, charitable initiatives, and local festivals.
- Coordinate travel, costumes, and equipment logistics to ensure seamless performances.
- Collaborate with marketing, public relations, and community outreach teams to maximize brand exposure.
- Train and mentor backup performers and volunteers on mascot protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of appearances, expenses, and performance metrics.
- Act as a brand ambassador, engaging fans, schools, and nonprofit partners to strengthen community ties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in sports management, marketing, or related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in live performance, entertainment, or community relations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with diverse audiences.
- Physical stamina to perform in a mascot costume for extended periods and lift equipment up to 30 lb.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as game schedules demand.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation
Annual salary: $20,108.66 (fixed)
