About This Position
Job Summary
Join T‑Mobile in Overland Park, Johnson County, as a Leave of Absence Consultant. You will guide employees through leave policies, ensure compliance, and support a seamless return‑to‑work process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess employee leave requests (FMLA, ADA, military, disability, and other statutory leaves).
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance on eligibility, documentation, and timelines.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll, and management to process leave accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain confidential records in the HRIS and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct return‑to‑work interviews and develop accommodation plans when needed.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local leave regulations and update internal policies accordingly.
- Deliver training sessions and FAQs for managers and staff about leave procedures.
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years experience handling employee leave administration, preferably in a large corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, state leave laws, and company policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of empathy.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary ranges from $54,600 to $98,500 annually, plus T‑Mobile’s Total Rewards package, including stock grants, employee stock purchase plan, 401(k) matching, and free financial coaching.
