Job Summary
Oracle is seeking a Software Development Snr Manager to lead a high‑performing engineering team in Phoenix, Maricopa County, US. This role oversees the design, development, debugging, and maintenance of software solutions for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers throughout the full development lifecycle.
- Define architecture and design standards for database, application, and system software.
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate development tasks to meet project milestones and quality goals.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure robust debugging and testing processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
- Identify opportunities for performance enhancements and technical debt reduction.
- Manage budget and resource planning for the software division.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of hands‑on software development experience and at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture, operating systems, databases, and modern development frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team‑building skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
