About This Position
Oracle is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join its Cloud Infrastructure team in Boise, Ada County, US. This role involves designing and building core components of Oracle Cloud, requiring deep expertise in distributed systems and full‑stack development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end design, development, and delivery of major cloud infrastructure components.
- Write high‑quality, maintainable code across the stack, from low‑level system modules to service‑level APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers in an agile environment to define requirements and iterate quickly.
- Optimize for simplicity, scalability, and performance in large‑scale distributed systems.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to best‑practice guidelines.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and troubleshoot production issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in cloud or large‑scale distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Deep understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and concurrency concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or similar IaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of micro‑services architecture, event‑driven design, and REST/GRPC APIs.
- Familiarity with performance profiling, tracing, and automated testing frameworks.
Compensation
Annual salary: $170,902.94 (fixed)
