Job Summary

GovCIO is hiring a Clinical Informatics Director (MD/DO) to lead senior clinical initiatives for complex healthcare technology projects. This fully remote position is based in Douglas, Juneau, US, offering a salary of $236,906.44.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic clinical leadership and guidance across digital health and health‑IT implementations.
• Act as the primary liaison between clinical staff, IT teams, and executive leadership to align technology solutions with patient care workflows.
• Develop and oversee clinical informatics policies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the design, testing, and deployment of EHR, telehealth, and analytics platforms.
• Evaluate clinical impact of technology projects, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, United States Suitability/Public Trust standards.
• Mentor and coach clinicians and informatics staff on effective use of digital tools.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board certification in a clinical specialty.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in clinical informatics, health IT, or related fields.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale health‑technology implementations.
• Deep understanding of EHR systems, interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), and data analytics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Eligibility for United States Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
