Senior Process Analyst

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Process Analyst to support mission‑enabling applications for the U.S. Coast Guard. The role is fully remote but based in Boise, Ada County, US, with a salary of $70,023 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain functional applications and automated workflows in line with the Software Lifecycle Management Plan (SLMP).
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into clear process specifications.
• Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and compliance.
• Lead testing efforts, validate system integrations, and ensure successful deployment of new features.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts and act as a subject‑matter expert for Coast Guard mission‑critical processes.
• Prepare and deliver documentation, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in process analysis, business analysis, or systems engineering, preferably in a federal or defense environment.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and workflow automation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Coast Guard or other maritime agency processes.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or ITIL.
