Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust (Remote Hybrid)

UMB Bank is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel – Corporate Trust to work remotely with a hybrid schedule from Urbanización El Vedado, San Juan. This role focuses on structured finance, escrow, municipal and corporate bond transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and provide comments on structured finance documents, escrow agreements, municipal and corporate bond paperwork, and related transaction documentation.
• Draft and negotiate amendments to protect UMB Bank’s corporate trust interests.
• Collaborate with internal trust teams, external counsel, and issuers to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Support the preparation of legal memoranda, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
• Stay current on industry trends, securities law developments, and trust‑related regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• J.D. or equivalent law degree and active bar membership.
• 2‑5 years of experience in corporate trust, structured finance, or municipal bond practice.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with document‑review tools and standard office software.

Compensation & Benefits
