RES eVA Cyber Security Associate (Remote)

The RES eVA Cyber Security Associate role at GovCIO is a fully remote position based in Archer, Laramie County, US, supporting the eVA Authority to Operation (ATO) process. This role offers a salary of $85,122.99 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ATO documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) control narratives, risk assessment inputs, Incident Response Plans (IRP) and Information System Contingency Plans (ISCP).
• Create and update configuration management artifacts to ensure compliance with federal guidelines.
• Manage daily updates in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), including POA&M revisions and control evidence uploads.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address security findings and implement remediation actions.
• Conduct continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Support security audits and prepare reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Public Trust or Suitability clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in federal IT security, ATO processes, or eMASS administration.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53, RMF, and DoD security frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience writing SSPs, POA&Ms, and other compliance documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and related security controls.
