Job Summary
Saint-Gobain is seeking a Quality Process Inspector I in Fayetteville, Fayette County, US. This role ensures all finished products meet CertainTeed’s strict quality standards before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hourly final audits on product attributes such as scrub tests, dimensions, alignment, sealant quality, moisture levels, bundle accuracy, and cosmetic appearance.
- Document inspection results in the quality management system and flag any non‑conforming items.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of quality measurement instruments.
- Follow established procedures for handling non‑conforming products, including segregation, disposition, and root‑cause reporting.
- Maintain 5S workplace organization and cleanliness standards on the production floor.
- Communicate inspection findings proactively with production teams and suggest corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing data for trend analysis and process optimization.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or construction materials environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise inspection procedures.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, moisture meters, etc.).
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production personnel.
Compensation
Salary: $26,627.18 per year (fixed).
