Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking a Sr. Analyst/JIRA SME to join the Patient Care Services Product Line Support team for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This fully remote role is based in Cammack Village, Pulaski County, US, with a salary of $162,568 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for JIRA, configuring workflows, screens, fields, and permission schemes to support agile development.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into JIRA solutions.
• Provide day‑to‑day support, troubleshooting, and training for end users across the VA ecosystem.
• Maintain documentation, best‑practice guides, and standard operating procedures for JIRA usage.
• Monitor system performance, manage upgrades, and ensure compliance with U.S. Suitability/Public Trust security standards.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in JIRA administration and agile project management.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
• Proven ability to design and optimize complex JIRA configurations for large, multi‑team environments.
• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Experience supporting healthcare or government IT projects is a plus.
