Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. System Technical Program Manager for Amazon Devices – Hardware at its Lab126 R&D hub in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County, CA. This senior role drives cross‑functional hardware development programs from concept through production, ensuring timely delivery and high quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary hardware engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, firmware, industrial design) to deliver consumer electronic products.
• Define program scope, schedule, milestones, and resource plans; own end‑to‑end program execution.
• Coordinate with product management, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality assurance to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Identify and mitigate technical and program risks; implement corrective actions and communicate status to senior leadership.
• Drive design reviews, prototype validation, and compliance testing for safety, EMC, and regulatory standards.
• Manage budgets, cost targets, and supplier contracts while optimizing for cost‑of‑goods sold.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision making.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing complex hardware programs, preferably in consumer electronics.
• Proven track record delivering products from concept to mass production on schedule and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Expertise in hardware development lifecycle, design for manufacturability, and supplier management.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and make data‑based decisions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Amazon Devices (Echo, Fire TV, Kindle, Wearables) or similar high‑volume consumer products.
• Familiarity with Agile/Lean hardware development methodologies.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in program management (PMP, ScrumMaster).

Compensation

Salary range: $276,311.34 annually.
