About the Role

As a Water Resources Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing solutions for water conservation, flood control, and environmental restoration projects. Your expertise will help shape policies and systems that protect natural resources while supporting communities. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home office while collaborating with a dynamic team of engineers, scientists, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze water resource models using advanced software tools to predict system performance.
• Design sustainable water infrastructure projects, including stormwater systems, irrigation networks, and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability goals.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new water resource initiatives.
• Prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Provide expert consultation on climate resilience and water security strategies for public and private clients.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in water resources engineering or a similar discipline.
• Proven track record of managing water-related projects from concept to completion.
• Strong understanding of federal and state water regulations, including Clean Water Act compliance.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as SWMM, HEC-RAS, or MIKE SHE.
• Experience with GIS mapping tools and data analysis platforms like Python or R.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green infrastructure solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present technical findings clearly.

Salary Range

$70,000 – $95,000 USD/year
