Key Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain comprehensive case files, including medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery documents.
- Assist attorneys with litigation preparation, drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Manage subpoenas, court filings, and deadlines to ensure timely case progression.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, and court personnel to schedule depositions, hearings, and trial logistics.
- Conduct legal research on medical malpractice statutes, case law, and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibit lists, and witness summaries.
- Support billing and time‑entry processes, ensuring accurate tracking of billable hours.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal certificate; Bachelor’s preferred.
- 2+ years of paralegal experience in medical malpractice or healthcare litigation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance concepts, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with legal software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, Clio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation & Benefits
