About the Role

As a Remote Engineer, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle—from gathering requirements and architecting systems to writing clean, testable code and deploying to production. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend services, APIs, and micro‑services using modern languages and frameworks.
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, performance tuning, and technology evaluation.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Experience with RESTful API design, GraphQL, and microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.

Professional Attributes

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.

Salary Range

Based on industry benchmarks for mid‑level remote engineering roles, the expected compensation is $85,000 – $115,000 USD per year, plus performance bonuses and equity options where applicable.
