About the Role

As a Remote IT Manager, you will shape technology strategy and execution for a distributed organization that values autonomy, clarity, and outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year IT roadmap, prioritizing projects that accelerate growth and reduce risk.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, endpoint security, and backup/recovery across distributed teams.
• Lead incident response and postmortems, driving continuous improvement in availability and performance.
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and lifecycle management for technology partners.
• Build and mentor a high-performing remote tech team, promoting best practices in DevOps, documentation, and automation.
• Establish IT budgets, forecasts, and KPIs that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to embed security, privacy, and scalability into product and process design.

Requirements

We’re looking for a results-driven IT leader with a track record of running reliable, secure environments while empowering distributed teams. You combine technical depth with business acumen and communicate with clarity across all levels.

Core Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT leadership or senior engineering roles, with at least 3 years managing teams or large-scale infrastructure.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
• Strong background in cybersecurity frameworks, zero-trust principles, and compliance (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and SLAs while delivering measurable ROI and risk reduction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to remote-first collaboration.
• Experience implementing IT service management practices and monitoring/observability stacks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

Salary Range

$110,000 – $160,000 USD/year, commensurate with experience, scope, and impact. Total rewards may include performance bonuses and equity, subject to role level and location-based pay bands.
