About the Role

Strategic Growth Architect

As a Venture Partner at Upstage, you’ll spearhead initiatives that bridge cutting-edge AI research with real-world financial applications. Your core responsibilities include:

• Designing and executing fundraising strategies for seed-to-series A startups in AI, blockchain, and SaaS
• Serving as a trusted advisor to portfolio companies, helping them navigate regulatory landscapes and product-market fit
• Collaborating with our executive team to identify emerging market opportunities in Southeast Asia and North America
• Building a global network of investors, corporate partners, and industry influencers

Hands-On Mentorship

Beyond capital, you’ll provide operational support to early-stage founders—optimizing their go-to-market plans, refining product roadmaps, and connecting them with Upstage’s AI talent pool. Your success will be measured by the companies you help scale into unicorns.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a venture partner, VC associate, or equivalent in fintech/AI sectors
• Deep understanding of financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR) and compliance frameworks
• Fluent in Korean and English with strong communication skills
• Experience mentoring technical founders and translating complex AI concepts into business value
• Passion for open-source AI models and blockchain interoperability

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with venture capital deal flow management tools (e.g., Carta, TermSheet)
• Network in Seoul’s startup community and global fintech hubs
