About the Role

As a Venture Partner at our San Francisco-based investment arm, you’ll be a critical catalyst for our portfolio companies. Your primary responsibility is sourcing and executing high-potential investment opportunities within the clean tech and sustainable infrastructure sectors. You’ll leverage your deep industry expertise and extensive network to uncover promising startups, conduct rigorous due diligence, structure compelling deals, and actively support portfolio companies through strategic guidance and introductions. This role demands a blend of sharp analytical skills, persuasive negotiation, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with founders and fellow investors.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in early-stage to growth-stage companies within the sustainable energy and infrastructure space.
• Conducting thorough financial modeling, market analysis, and risk assessment for potential investments.
• Negotiating deal terms, structuring investments, and finalizing agreements.
• Providing hands-on operational support, strategic advice, and access to our network for portfolio companies.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with founders, CEOs, and other key stakeholders.
• Participating actively in firm-wide investment committees and strategy sessions.

Requirements

We seek a candidate with a proven track record in venture capital or private equity, specifically within the energy, cleantech, or sustainable infrastructure sectors. You must possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of technology-driven business models, and a passion for building companies that create tangible environmental impact. A track record of sourcing and closing investments of $5M+ is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is a significant plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate development within the energy, cleantech, or sustainable infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to source, evaluate, and execute investments of $5M+ in early-stage to growth-stage companies.
• Exceptional financial modeling, market analysis, and due diligence skills.
• Strong negotiation and deal structuring abilities.
• Extensive network within the clean tech and sustainable infrastructure ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of technology adoption curves, regulatory landscapes, and capital markets in the energy transition.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
