About the Role

In this remote Fire Engineer position, you will be responsible for the comprehensive fire safety analysis and design of commercial and institutional structures. Your expertise will be crucial in developing fire protection systems that meet stringent building codes and exceed industry standards. You’ll collaborate virtually with architects, engineers, and clients to integrate fire safety seamlessly into project designs, focusing on life safety, property protection, and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fire dynamics analysis, egress modeling, and smoke control system design.
• Develop and specify fire suppression systems (sprinklers, clean agents, gas, etc.).
• Conduct fire risk assessments and code compliance reviews.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Provide remote technical support and guidance to project teams.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in fire engineering design.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Proven expertise in NFPA 80, NFPA 101, NFPA 13, and related fire codes.
• Experience with fire modeling software (e.g., FDS, PyroSim) and CAD/BIM tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment with flexible hours.
