About the Role

As a Remote Veterinarian, you’ll provide virtual consultations for pet owners, review diagnostic records, recommend treatment plans, and collaborate with local partners for in-person care when needed. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting secure video and phone consultations for non-emergency conditions (e.g., dermatology, nutrition, behavior)
• Reviewing medical records, lab results, and imaging to inform clinical decisions
• Documenting case notes in our HIPAA-compliant EHR system
• Supporting pet owners with empathetic, evidence-based guidance and resource sharing
• Participating in interdisciplinary case discussions with our clinical team

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an AVMA-accredited program
• Active, unrestricted veterinary license in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (small animal preferred)
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust remotely
• Reliable high-speed internet, quiet workspace, and modern computer setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in general practice, specialty, or emergency care
• Certification or interest in areas like internal medicine, dermatology, or behavior
• Familiarity with veterinary telemedicine platforms (e.g., VetX, TeleVet)
• Comfort with AI-assisted diagnostics tools and remote monitoring devices

Salary Range

Competitive compensation reflects experience, location, and full-time vs. part-time engagement:

• Full-Time Estimated Range: $105,000 – $145,000 USD/year
• Part-Time (20+ hrs/week): $55 – $75/hour, pro-rated

Plus performance-based bonuses and annual licensure reimbursement.
