Requirements

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Active state veterinary license in good standing
• 3+ years of clinical experience in small animal practice
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills
• Comfortable with telemedicine technology and electronic health records
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual video consultations with pet owners
• Review medical history and symptoms to provide accurate assessments
• Develop treatment plans and make appropriate recommendations
• Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate and legally permissible
• Know when to recommend in-person care at a partner clinic
• Document all interactions and medical decisions in the electronic health record system
• Participate in continuous training and quality improvement initiatives
