<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Venture Partner – Shape the Future of Tech Innovation

We are seeking a seasoned and network-driven Venture Partner to source, evaluate, and lead investments in groundbreaking early-stage technology startups. This is a fully remote, equity-focused leadership role where you will leverage your expertise and connections to identify the next generation of category-defining companies and play a pivotal role in our fund’s success.

About the Role & Our Firm

As a Venture Partner, you will operate as a key external investor and scout for our firm, with the autonomy to build and manage a dedicated pipeline of high-potential opportunities. You will be responsible for the full investment cycle—from initial sourcing and thesis alignment to deep due diligence, deal negotiation, and post-investment portfolio support. This is not a traditional 9-to-5 job; it is an entrepreneurial partnership where your personal reputation, network, and judgment directly translate into fund performance and carried interest. You will work closely with our core investment team and other Venture Partners, contributing to fund strategy and sharing proprietary deal flow in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and originate 8-12 qualified, high-conviction investment opportunities per year within our core theses (e.g., AI/ML, Climate Tech, Future of Work, Fintech Infrastructure).
  • Lead comprehensive due diligence, including market analysis, technical assessment, founder evaluation, and financial modeling.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with founders, co-investors, and industry experts globally.
  • Present compelling investment memos and lead internal discussions to secure commitment from the investment committee.
  • Provide active portfolio support for 3-5 board seats or observer roles, including strategic guidance, recruitment assistance, and follow-on fundraising support.
  • Contribute to the firm’s brand and network through content, speaking engagements, and community building.

Who You Are: Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Proven Track Record: 10+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, or as a successful founder/operator with a demonstrable history of sourcing and executing early-stage investments. A personal portfolio with at least 2-3 notable exits or home runs is essential.
  • Deep Network: An established, active network within the global tech startup ecosystem, particularly in at least one major hub (e.g., Silicon Valley, New York, London, Berlin, Tel Aviv, Bangalore). You are known as a person who finds hidden gems.
  • Investment Acumen: Expert-level skills in financial analysis, valuation, term sheet negotiation, and legal documentation. You can deconstruct a business model and identify key risks and leverage points.
  • Judgment & Conviction: Exceptional pattern recognition and the courage to back contrarian, high-potential founders. You possess a founder-first mentality and can assess founder-market fit with precision.
  • Remote Mastery: Proven ability to build trust, conduct deep diligence, and collaborate effectively in a fully asynchronous and synchronous remote work environment. Self-motivated and exceptionally disciplined.

Nice-to-Have Attributes

  • Prior experience as a founder or senior operator (CPO, CTO, VP Product) at a scaling tech company.
  • Experience managing a fund or serving as a trusted advisor to Limited Partners (LPs).
  • Technical background (e.g., engineering degree, deep experience in a complex technical domain) for our more technical theses.
  • Fluency in a second major language for sourcing in non-English markets.

What We Offer: Compensation & Benefits

This is a senior, equity-centric partnership role. Compensation is designed to attract top-tier talent and align your success directly with the fund’s performance.

Salary Range & Carried Interest

Base Salary Range: $150,000 – $250,000 USD/year (commensurate with experience and track record).

Performance Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus tied to personal investment goals and fund-level performance.

Carried Interest (Carry): This is the primary wealth-creation component. You will receive a meaningful allocation of the fund’s carried interest (typically in the range of 1.0% – 3.0% of the total fund carry pool) on the investments you source and lead. This is a true partnership—your success is our success.

Benefits & Remote Perks

  • True Location Independence: Work from anywhere. We trust you to manage your time and calendar for maximum impact.
  • Comprehensive Health Benefits: Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family (US-based roles).
  • Generous PTO & Sabbatical: Unlimited flexible time off plus a structured sabbatical policy to recharge.
  • Home Office Stipend: Annual budget to optimize your remote workspace for productivity and comfort.
  • Learning & Development: Fund allocation for conferences, courses, and executive coaching to keep you at the cutting edge.
  • Co-Working Access: Membership to a global network of co-working spaces (e.g., WeWork, Regus) to connect with the local ecosystem when needed.

Ready to Shape the Future?

If you are a proven investor with a hungry, founder-oriented mindset and a global network that you actively cultivate, we want to hear from you. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-caliber partnership with significant economic upside and the freedom to operate on a global stage.

To Apply: Please submit your CV and a brief investment memo (max 2 pages) on your most proud, recent investment (or a hypothetical investment in a company you admire) to partners@ourfirm.vc. Demonstrate your thesis, due diligence process, and conviction. No generic cover letters.
