About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Remote Substance Abuse Counselor to provide critical virtual support to individuals navigating recovery. Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients struggling with substance use disorders.
* Deliver individual and group teletherapy sessions using secure video conferencing tools, adhering to ethical and clinical best practices.
* Collaborate effectively with clients, their families (as appropriate), and other healthcare providers within the virtual care team.
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records within our secure electronic health record system.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in teletherapy and substance abuse treatment.

Requirements

* Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent).
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years of direct experience providing substance abuse counseling, preferably in an outpatient setting.
* Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use disorders (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.).
* Exceptional communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build strong rapport virtually.
* Proficiency with secure telehealth platforms and electronic health records.
* Valid state driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (for potential local travel if required by specific client needs, though primary work is remote).
