About the Role

As a key member of our Product Engineering team, you will own the full development lifecycle for critical microservices and customer-facing applications. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate business needs into robust, high-performance software. Our stack is modern, and we prioritize clean code, automated testing, and continuous deployment. You will contribute to our core banking API and help scale our platform to handle billions in transaction volume.

Your Day-to-Day Impact:

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Node.js and Python within a cloud-native AWS environment.
• Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces with React and TypeScript for our client and admin dashboards.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure platform reliability and security.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile sprint planning.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize for scale and efficiency.

Salary & Compensation

We offer a highly competitive salary that reflects your experience and the value you bring. For this mid-to-senior level remote position, the total compensation package includes:

• Base Salary Range: $95,000 – $135,000 USD/year
• Performance Bonus: Up to 15% of annual salary based on company and individual performance.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

Must-Have Experience:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on backend systems.
• Proficiency in at least one major backend language (Node.js, Python, Java, or Go) and one frontend framework (React preferred).
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient SQL.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT), and security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent English communication skills—both written and verbal—for effective remote collaboration.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in the fintech, banking, or payments industry.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
