InnovateTech Solutions is at the forefront of designing next-generation energy management and IoT systems. We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join our distributed team and lead the charge on high-impact projects that define the future of sustainable technology. This is a fully remote position offering unparalleled flexibility to work from your ideal environment while contributing to solutions that power our world.

Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 – $165,000 USD/year, based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. Includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity.

About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will own the full lifecycle of complex electrical system design, from initial concept and simulation to prototyping, testing, and production handoff. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, firmware), and drive technical decisions that ensure our products are robust, efficient, and manufacturable. Your work will directly impact critical infrastructure, renewable energy projects, and smart device ecosystems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze analog/digital circuits, power electronics (AC/DC, DC/DC converters), and embedded systems.
  • Perform detailed simulations using SPICE or similar tools and validate designs through bench testing and validation protocols.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation: schematics, PCB layouts (in collaboration with layout engineers), BOMs, and test reports.
  • Lead design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and troubleshoot complex hardware issues.
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to define hardware/software interfaces and ensure seamless integration.
  • Interface with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and reliability.
  • Champion innovation by researching emerging technologies and recommending improvements to our design processes and tools.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in electrical hardware design, with a proven track record of shipping products.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in power systems design, analog/digital circuit theory, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance. Proficiency with EDA tools like Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor.
  • Embedded Knowledge: Strong understanding of microcontroller (ARM Cortex, etc.) and processor architectures, peripheral interfacing (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet), and low-level hardware considerations.
  • Testing Proficiency: Expert-level use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
  • Standards & Regulations: Familiarity with relevant industry standards (UL, IEC, IEEE) and certification processes (FCC, CE).

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in the renewable energy, electric vehicle, or industrial IoT sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a remote or distributed engineering team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a passion for clean, efficient, and scalable design.
