About the Role

As a Remote Safety Manager, you will partner with operations, HR, and leadership teams to design safety policies that meet OSHA, ANSI, and industry‑specific standards. You’ll conduct virtual site assessments, lead incident investigations, and deliver engaging safety training through webinars and e‑learning platforms. Your expertise will help reduce workplace injuries, lower incident rates, and foster a safety‑first mindset across a geographically dispersed workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety manuals, emergency response plans, and compliance documentation.
• Perform remote hazard analyses using video walkthroughs, employee feedback, and digital inspection tools.
• Lead monthly safety meetings, toolbox talks, and quarterly safety performance reviews via video conferencing.
• Track, investigate, and report incidents; implement corrective actions and monitor effectiveness.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors for safety equipment, PPE distribution, and occupational health services.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and advise leadership on necessary program adjustments.
• Manage safety budgets, track KPIs, and prepare reports for executive stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive safety management experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or healthcare.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or OSHA 30‑hour certification strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of reducing incident rates and improving safety culture in remote or hybrid environments.
• Strong proficiency with safety management software (e.g., Intelex, Gensuite, VelocityEHS) and virtual collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey complex safety concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects independently while meeting deadlines.
