About the Role

As a Remote Safety Manager, you will act as the trusted safety advisor for multiple business units, leveraging your expertise to design policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead training initiatives—all from your home office. You will collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and frontline staff to embed safety into everyday operations, track key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement through data‑driven insights. This position offers the autonomy to manage your own schedule while making a tangible impact on workplace safety across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain site‑specific safety plans, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct virtual and on‑site hazard inspections, incident investigations, and root‑cause analyses.
• Facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and certification programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry‑specific regulations; prepare audit reports and corrective action plans.
• Analyze safety metrics (TRIR, LTIFR, near‑miss rates) and present trends to leadership with actionable recommendations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and third‑party auditors.
• Promote a proactive safety culture by recognizing safe behaviors and encouraging employee participation in safety committees.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive safety management experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or logistics.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, ISO 45001, and relevant state/local regulations.
• Proficient with safety management software (e.g., Intelex, Gensuite, Cority) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
