About the Role

As a Remote Medical/Surgical RN, you will be the vital clinical link between our healthcare team and patients managing acute and chronic conditions. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and monitor care plans, provide patient education, and coordinate with physicians and specialists—all remotely. Your day will involve leveraging secure telehealth platforms for virtual visits, reviewing patient data, and ensuring seamless transitions of care. This role requires a proactive, compassionate nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, independent setting while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed virtual patient assessments and triage for Med/Surg populations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide evidence-based patient and family education on conditions, medications, and procedures.
• Coordinate care with on-call physicians, specialists, and local support resources as needed.
• Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and plans in the EHR.
• Monitor patient lab results, diagnostic reports, and vital signs, escalating critical findings promptly.
• Adhere strictly to all telehealth regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and clinical protocols.

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of primary residence (multi-state license a plus).
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification strongly preferred.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Medical/Surgical nursing experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth technology platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—for clear virtual interaction.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 – $85,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience, certifications, and geographic location factors. Shift differentials may apply for non-traditional hours.
