As a Remote Operations Research Analyst, you will transform intricate business challenges into clear, actionable strategies using advanced mathematical modeling and analytics. This fully remote role empowers you to drive significant efficiency and cost savings for our clients from anywhere in the U.S., leveraging your expertise in optimization and predictive analytics to make a tangible impact.

About the Role

You will join a dynamic analytics consultancy dedicated to solving the most pressing operational puzzles for industries ranging from logistics and healthcare to finance and technology. Working remotely within a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will be the quantitative expert who designs and implements models that optimize systems, processes, and resource allocation. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions, delivering measurable ROI and innovative solutions for our diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy mathematical models (linear, integer, non-linear programming, simulation) to analyze complex systems and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Utilize predictive analytics and statistical methods to forecast trends, assess risks, and recommend proactive operational improvements.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical frameworks, then communicate findings and actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations and reports.
  • Write efficient, scalable code in Python (using libraries like PuLP, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas) and/or R to implement models and automate analyses.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and data acquisition to model deployment, validation, and performance monitoring.
  • Stay abreast of emerging methodologies in operations research, machine learning, and data science to enhance our service offerings.

Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented analyst who thrives on intellectual challenge and practical application.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitatively focused field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in an analytical role, specifically applying OR techniques (optimization, simulation, queuing theory) to real-world business problems.
  • Proficiency in at least one optimization solver (e.g., Gurobi, CPLEX, FICO Xpress, OR-Tools) and strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling; experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly) is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • U.S. residency and a reliable high-speed internet connection. Occasional overlap with Eastern Time Zone business hours required.

Salary & Compensation

We offer a highly competitive salary reflecting your experience and expertise, with a base range of $75,000 – $110,000 USD/year. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, years of relevant experience, and internal equity. This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Complete Remote Package

We believe great work happens when you’re empowered and supported. As a 100% remote employee, you’ll enjoy:
