About the Role & Your Impact

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to a diverse clientele via our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You will manage a caseload of individuals, couples, or families dealing with a range of concerns, from anxiety and depression to life transitions and trauma. This is not a high-pressure sales environment; it is a clinical role where your primary goal is to facilitate healing and growth. You will have the autonomy to structure your schedule, supported by our administrative team which handles billing, scheduling, and insurance verification, allowing you to focus 100% on what you do best: exceptional client care.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for assigned clients.
• Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy sessions (typically 45-50 minutes) using modalities aligned with your expertise (CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, etc.).
• Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other counselors in case consultations.
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines (ACA, NASW) and state licensure regulations for teletherapy practice.
• Participate in optional weekly team meetings and professional development trainings.

Essential Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in at least one U.S. state. You must be in good standing with your state licensing board.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience providing direct therapeutic services.
• Proven experience and comfort with telehealth/teletherapy platforms and technology.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5, evidence-based treatment modalities, and crisis management protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport virtually.
• A quiet, confidential, and professional home office setup with reliable high-speed internet.

Preferred Attributes

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities (especially Spanish, Mandarin, or ASL).
• Specialized certifications in areas like trauma (EMDR), addiction, or child/adolescent therapy.
• Experience with a variety of EHR systems.

Compensation & Benefits

We believe in compensating our clinicians fairly for their invaluable work. This is a contractor position with significant earning potential.

Salary Range

Based on experience, licensure, and caseload volume, you can expect a competitive compensation package. For a full-time caseload of 25-30 sessions per week, the estimated annual income range is $55,000 – $85,000 USD. Part-time opportunities are available with pro-rated earnings. You will be paid per session rendered, with transparent, weekly direct deposit.
