About the Role

As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you’ll play a critical role in our product development pipeline, transforming ideas into detailed, manufacturable designs that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You’ll work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution from initial sketches to final production deliverables.

What You’ll Do

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including parts lists, assembly instructions, and tolerance specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for manufacturing, cost, and performance
• Conduct design reviews and make iterative improvements based on feedback
• Perform calculations and analysis to verify structural integrity and material compatibility
• Support prototype development and testing phases
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements

We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative remote environment and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality mechanical designs.

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
• 2-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design or drafting
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Pro/ENGINEER
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is preferred

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $95,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated expertise. This compensation package includes competitive base pay along with performance-based incentives and comprehensive benefits.
