Recent Activity
We are seeking a talented and meticulous Remote Mechanical Designer to transform conceptual ideas into precise, manufacturable reality. In this fully remote role, you will be the cornerstone of our product development team, creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings that define the next generation of industrial equipment. If you thrive on solving complex spatial problems and want to make a tangible impact without a daily commute, this is your opportunity.
About the Role
As a key member of our engineering division, you will own the complete mechanical design lifecycle for assigned projects. Working from your home office, you will collaborate with project managers, manufacturing engineers, and suppliers via digital channels to ensure every design is optimized for performance, cost, and assembly. Your work will directly influence the physical products that reach our global客户 base.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models (using SolidWorks or similar) and production-ready 2D drawings with complete Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) analysis to streamline production.
- Create and maintain design documentation, specifications, and revision controls.
- Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and basic kinematic simulations.
- Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams through daily stand-ups, design reviews, and project documentation.
- Interface with external vendors for prototyping and component sourcing.
What We’re Looking For: Requirements
We need a self-motivated designer who excels in a distributed environment. You must be proactive in communication and adept at managing your project timeline.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development.
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) or equivalent parametric CAD software (Creo, Inventor, NX).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) per ASME Y14.5.
- Familiarity with common manufacturing processes: machining (CNC), sheet metal, injection molding, casting.
- Experience with PDM/PLM systems for data management.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for clear remote collaboration.
Nice-to-Have Attributes
- Experience in the industrial machinery, automation, or consumer goods sector.
- Basic FEA (Finite Element Analysis) experience for structural validation.
- Knowledge of standard fasteners, bearings, and linear motion components.
- Familiarity with basic electrical/mechanical integration (routing harnesses, mounting components).
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in fair, transparent compensation for exceptional work.
Salary Range
The base salary for this position is $75,000 – $95,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience and skill level. This is a exempt, full-time role.
Comprehensive Remote Benefits Package
- True Flexibility: Core hours for collaboration, but design your own schedule. Work from wherever you are most productive.
- Health & Wellness: Full medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums covered 90% for you and your family.
- Financial Security: 401(k) with a 4% company match. Annual profit-sharing bonus potential.
- Home Office Stipend: Receive $1,000 annually to optimize your remote workspace.
- Professional Growth: $2,000 yearly budget for courses, certifications, and conferences.
- Generous PTO: 4 weeks of vacation, 10 paid holidays, and sick leave.
- Technology: Top-of-the-line laptop, dual monitors, and all necessary software licenses provided.
- Team Connection: Fully paid annual in-person meetup for the entire global team.
Our Culture: A Remote-First Philosophy
Innovatech Dynamics is built for remote. We trust our people to deliver excellence. Our culture is asynchronous-first, valuing deep work and clear communication over constant meetings. We are a diverse, inclusive team that believes the best ideas come from varied perspectives. We celebrate results, not hours logged, and foster an environment of continuous learning and mutual respect.
How to Succeed in This Role
You will be successful if you are a detail-oriented problem-solver who takes ownership. You anticipate downstream manufacturing and assembly challenges in your designs. You communicate proactively—flagging risks early and celebrating project wins. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can drive a design forward with minimal direction. Most importantly, you are passionate about building things that matter.
This is more than a job; it’s a chance to redefine your career on your own terms. If you are ready to bring your mechanical design expertise to a dynamic, forward-thinking company and build a remarkable portfolio from the comfort of home, we want to hear from you. Your designs will be the foundation of our next breakthrough.
