About the Role

As a Remote Mechanical Designer, you will be the architect behind the physical form of our next-generation products and systems. You’ll translate engineering specifications and market needs into detailed, manufacturable designs using advanced CAD software. Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Perform design analysis, including FEA and tolerance stack-ups, to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize designs for cost, manufacturability (DFM), and assembly (DFA).
• Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, revision logs, and technical reports.
• Participate in design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and iterate on prototypes based on testing results.
• Stay current with industry trends, new materials, and emerging manufacturing technologies like additive manufacturing.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field.

• Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Proven experience with creating manufacturing-ready drawings and BOM management.
• Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, injection molding, casting).
• Excellent English communication skills for clear written and video conferencing collaboration.
• Self-motivated with exceptional time-management and the ability to meet deadlines in a home-office environment.

Compensation & Benefits
