You will be responsible for the complete survey data lifecycle—from processing raw field data collected by trusted local crews to delivering final, stampable plans and reports. The Day-to-Day Impact

Your primary workspace will be your optimized home office, where you will:

• Process and adjust complex GPS, Total Station, and LiDAR survey data using industry-leading software.
• Create detailed boundary surveys, topographic maps, construction staking plans, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Write precise legal descriptions and prepare plats for submission to counties and clients.
• Collaborate virtually with project managers, engineers, and clients via video calls and cloud-based platforms.
• Perform quality control on all deliverables before signature and seal.

Approximately 10-15% of your time will involve targeted fieldwork for project reconnaissance, control verification, or complex boundary investigations, scheduled in focused blocks within your assigned residential region.

What You Bring (Requirements)

Essential Qualifications

• Licensure: Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in good standing in Texas is mandatory. You must be authorized to seal documents.
• Experience: 5+ years of comprehensive surveying experience, with proven expertise in boundary law, construction surveying, and plat preparation.
• Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in Trimble Business Center, Autodesk Civil 3D/AutoCAD, and ESRI ArcGIS. Familiarity with Pix4D or similar photogrammetry software is a strong plus.
• Remote Readiness: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage project timelines remotely, and communicate clearly through digital channels (Zoom, Teams, Slack).
• Field Capability: Must be physically able to perform fieldwork (walking, standing, lifting equipment) and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record. You will be required to use your personal vehicle for local travel, with mileage reimbursement.
• Residency: Must be a full-time resident of Texas to qualify for this remote position.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with drone/UAS data integration for survey purposes.
• Knowledge of local Texas county regulations and submittal processes.
• Strong understanding of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS).

Compensation & Benefits Package

Your expertise is valued. For this Remote Surveyor role, we offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 – $95,000 USD/year, commensurate with your license, experience, and proven project management skills. This is a salaried exempt position.
