Recent Activity
Join a leading dental telehealth platform as a Remote Dental Assistant and play a pivotal role in modernizing oral healthcare. You’ll provide crucial pre- and post-operative support, patient education, and administrative coordination entirely from home, eliminating commutes and offering unparalleled schedule flexibility. This is a full-time, 100% remote position for qualified professionals seeking a rewarding career in a fast-growing, tech-forward field.
About the Role
As a Remote Dental Assistant, you will be the essential bridge between our network of licensed dentists and our patients across the country. You will manage virtual patient intake, conduct detailed medical history reviews, prepare treatment plans with the dental team, and provide compassionate education on post-operative care—all via secure video calls and our integrated software. Your day will involve a dynamic mix of direct patient interaction, meticulous charting, and collaborative case management, all from your dedicated home workspace. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy assistant who thrives in a digital environment and wants to make a tangible impact on patient outcomes without the physical constraints of a traditional dental office.
Salary & Compensation
We offer a highly competitive salary range of $48,000 – $68,000 USD/year, commensurate with your experience and certification. This role is eligible for a quarterly performance bonus based on patient satisfaction scores and team efficiency metrics. You will be classified as a full-time W-2 employee with comprehensive benefits, not an independent contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Coordination & Triage
- Conduct virtual patient interviews to gather comprehensive medical and dental histories.
- Verify insurance benefits and provide clear cost estimates before treatment.
- Triage urgent patient concerns and escalate appropriately to the on-call dentist.
Clinical Support & Documentation
- Prepare detailed patient charts and treatment plans for dentist review and approval.
- Assist dentists during live video consultations by managing records and tools.
- Provide clear, empathetic instructions on pre- and post-operative care via email and video.
Administrative Excellence
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant digital records and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient recall systems.
- Collaborate with the operations team to streamline telehealth workflows.
What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
- Active Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification in your state of residence. We welcome assistants licensed in any U.S. state.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical dental assistant role.
- Proven proficiency with dental software (Dexis, Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and EHR systems.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for virtual patient interactions.
- Tech-savvy with high-speed internet, a quiet private workspace, and comfort with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams).
- Unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality and data security (HIPAA knowledge is a must).
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a telehealth, telesales, or remote patient-facing role.
- Familiarity with dental insurance coding ( CDT codes) and verification processes.
- Basic understanding of common dental procedures and terminology.
The Complete Benefits Package
We believe in supporting our team members holistically. As a full-time remote employee, you receive:
- Health & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance (we practice what we preach!), plus a generous HSA match.
- Financial Security: 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and disability coverage.
- Time Off: Generous PTO accrual starting on day one, plus 12 paid holidays.
- Remote Perks: A stipend to set up your home office ($500 initial, $200 annual), and high-speed internet reimbursement.
- Growth: Annual stipend for continuing education courses and certifications.
- Culture: A supportive, collaborative team with regular virtual social events and wellness challenges.
