About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional working remotely, you will be the vital link between our organization and the individuals we serve. You will work closely with clients, their families, and our local care coordinators to deliver consistent, reliable support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized, hands-on support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in the client’s home environment.
• Facilitate and encourage participation in community-based activities, appointments, and social events.
• Offer emotional support, companionship, and active listening to foster positive relationships.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress, and any incidents.
• Collaborate effectively with the client’s family, caregivers, and our local care team to ensure consistent care plans.
• Adhere strictly to all company policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Proven experience (1+ years) providing direct care, support, or assistance to individuals with disabilities, elderly adults, or those requiring specialized support.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available).
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace at home.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working with specific populations (e.g., developmental disabilities, mental health, aging).
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to lift/move clients safely (20-50 lbs unassisted).
• Knowledge of community resources and local services.
