<a href="https://wehired.agency/jobs/" style="color:var(--primary-color); font-weight:600;">Remote</a> Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver Job

Imagine a career where your office is the open road, your schedule is in your hands, and you report to a dispatcher via app—not a cubicle. This is your chance to leverage your CDL expertise in a truly remote-capable heavy truck driving role, handling regional and dedicated routes that get you home regularly while earning a premium wage. No daily commute to a terminal means more time for what matters, all while performing the critical hauling work you’re skilled at.

About the Role: The Future of Freight is Flexible

What You’ll Do

You will operate a company-provided, late-model heavy-duty tractor-trailer to transport a variety of freight, including dry van, flatbed, or refrigerated goods, across regional lanes. Your “remote” status means you are a home-based operator: you start and end your workday from your personal residence, with pre-planned, pre-assigned loads dispatched directly to your mobile device. You will be responsible for pre-trip inspections, safe loading/unloading at designated customer sites, maintaining accurate logs (ELD), and ensuring all freight is delivered on time and in perfect condition. This is not an over-the-road (OTR) position with weeks away; this is a strategic, home-based role designed for drivers who value consistency and home time.

Who We Are

We are a rapidly growing logistics partner specializing in just-in-time freight for manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce giants. We believe that the best drivers are empowered drivers, which is why we’ve built a tech-forward, driver-centric model that eliminates the traditional terminal check-in. Our fleet is modern, our maintenance is proactive, and our support team is available 24/7 to ensure you have everything you need to succeed and stay safe.

Requirements: Proven Skill Meets Professionalism

This is a senior-level driving position for experienced professionals. We need more than just a CDL; we need a safety-minded, reliable partner.

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with no endorsements required for this specific fleet.
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable, recent experience operating a tractor-trailer in a professional capacity.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) and no major preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Must pass a comprehensive DOT physical and be able to meet all FMCSA regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with smartphone technology and mobile apps for navigation, communication, and electronic logging (ELD). Training is provided.
  • Ability to safely perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and secure various types of freight.
  • Must reside within a designated “home base” radius of our primary service hubs (specific regions discussed during interview).

Compensation & Benefits: We Invest in Our Drivers

We compete aggressively for the best talent because you are the backbone of our operation. Your expertise is rewarded.

Salary Range

$58,000 – $78,000 USD/year (Annual salary based on experience, route assignment, and performance. This is a salaried W-2 position with overtime eligibility as applicable by law. Top performers exceed $80,000.)

Benefits Package

  • Home Time: Guaranteed weekly home time. Regional routes typically provide 1-2 nights at home per week, with some dedicated routes offering nightly home time.
  • Health & Wellness: Full medical, dental, and vision insurance available after 30 days (employee contribution required).
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO accrual starting from day one, plus paid holidays.
  • Equipment: You take home a late-model, fully serviced, and insured tractor. No need for your own truck.
  • Expenses: We cover all fuel charges via company fuel card. No out-of-pocket for fuel.
  • Support: 24/7 driver and dispatch support via dedicated hotline and mobile app.
  • Bonuses: Performance and safety bonuses paid quarterly.
  • Stability: Consistent, pre-planned freight with no forced “deadhead” (empty) miles back to a distant terminal.

The Ideal Remote Driver Profile

You are an independent, self-motivated professional who thrives with autonomy. You take immense pride in your equipment, your safety record, and your timely deliveries. You are tech-savvy enough to manage digital workflows but also a hands-on problem-solver who can handle minor roadside issues. You value a predictable schedule that allows you to be present at home, and you communicate professionally with customers and dispatch. If you’re tired of the uncertainty of traditional OTR trucking and want a stable, well-paid role that respects your time and skill, this is your opportunity.

Ready to Control Your Career from Your Front Door?

This isn’t a “work-from-home” job in the traditional sense—it’s a “home-based” professional driving career. You’ll be on the road, but your life will be rooted at home. If you meet the requirements and are ready for a modern approach to trucking that prioritizes your income, your time, and your well-being, we want to hear from you. This is a direct-hire W-2 position with our company. No recruiters, no third-party agencies.
