About the Role
As our Health IT Specialist, you will be the technical backbone supporting our EHR platform. Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and customize EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts) according to clinical workflows and organizational requirements.
- Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for clinical and administrative staff on EHR functionalities.
- Proactively monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
- Ensure robust data integrity and security protocols are maintained, including regular backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues and manage system upgrades.
- Contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing EHR usability and efficiency.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Health IT Specialist, Clinical Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting EHR implementations.
- Deep expertise in at least one major EHR platform (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Meditech).
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation requirements, and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex system errors.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certified EHR Professional (CEP) or similar certification.
- Experience with cloud-based EHR platforms (e.g., Epic CloudCare, Cerner HealtheIntent Cloud).
- Knowledge of data migration processes and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
