About the Role

We are seeking a talented Health IT Specialist to join our remote team and help bridge the gap between healthcare and technology. In this position, you’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing health information systems that improve patient care outcomes while ensuring data security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain health information systems (EHRs, EMRs)
• Analyze healthcare workflows to identify technology opportunities
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support
• Train healthcare staff on new technology implementations
• Integrate various health information systems for seamless data flow

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in health IT or healthcare technology
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HITECH)
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare IT platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare IT (CHIA, CPHIT, or similar)
• Experience with telemedicine platforms
• Familiarity with HL7 and FHIR standards
• Project management experience

Salary Range
