About the Role

As a Health IT Specialist, you will be the bridge between technology and patient care. • Conduct user training sessions and create documentation that facilitates smooth adoption of new features.
• Monitor system performance, generate reports, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Assist with data migration, interface testing, and integration of laboratory, pharmacy, and billing systems.
• Ensure all activities adhere to HIPAA, GDPR (where applicable), and other healthcare data security standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate upgrades, patches, and new technology solutions.
• Participate in project planning, helping to define scope, timelines, and resource needs for health IT initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience with major EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts).
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical documentation, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH).
• Proficiency with Windows/Linux operating systems, SQL databases, and HL7/FHI R standards.
