Recent Activity
Are you a data storyteller with a passion for healthcare? We’re seeking a sharp analytical mind to decode complex health datasets and illuminate the path to better patient outcomes, reduced costs, and smarter clinical decisions. This is a fully remote opportunity to apply your skills where they matter most: at the intersection of data science and human wellness.
About the Role & Your Impact
As a Health Data Analyst, you will be the critical link between raw data (EHRs, claims, patient-generated data) and strategic action. You will work within our analytics team to clean, model, and interpret health information, producing clear reports and dashboards that guide our clinical partners and product teams. Your work will directly influence care pathway optimization, population health management strategies, and the development of our next-generation analytics platform. This isn’t just about numbers; it’s about identifying trends that prevent hospital readmissions, predict disease outbreaks, and personalize treatment plans.
Core Responsibilities
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse healthcare sources (FHIR APIs, SQL databases, CSV exports) ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain standardized and ad-hoc reports, dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker), and data visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform statistical analysis, trend identification, and predictive modeling to answer key business and clinical questions.
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Clinical Informaticists, and Product Managers to define metrics and translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Document data sources, methodologies, and findings meticulously to ensure reproducibility and compliance with data governance standards.
- Stay abreast of healthcare data standards (ICD-10, SNOMED-CT, LOINC), value-based care metrics, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR).
What You Bring (Requirements)
We need a practitioner who combines technical rigor with healthcare domain curiosity. You must be self-motivated, an excellent communicator, and thrive in a fully distributed team environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience: 2+ years in a health data, healthcare analytics, or health informatics role. Proven experience working with claims data, clinical data, or public health datasets.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL is non-negotiable. Strong experience with at least one scripting language for analysis (Python with Pandas, NumPy, SciPy or R). Fluency in Excel/Sheets for quick analysis.
- Visualization: Hands-on experience building dashboards in a major BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, etc.).
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with the US healthcare ecosystem—payers, providers, pharma—and key concepts like risk adjustment, quality measures (HEDIS, MIPS), and care coordination.
- Mindset: Exceptional problem-solving skills, acute attention to detail, and a commitment to data accuracy and ethical use.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex analytical findings in plain language to drive decisions. Excellent written skills for remote collaboration.
Nice-to-Have Attributes
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries (scikit-learn) for basic predictive projects.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles for analytics.
- Direct experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe in fair, transparent compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 – $85,000 USD annually, based on experience, skill level, and geographic location within the United States. This is not a final offer but a good-faith estimate.
As a fully remote-first company, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed for flexibility and total well-being:
- Health & Wealth: Premium medical, dental, and vision insurance (80% covered by company for employees and dependents). 401(k) with company match. Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution.

- Growth & Support: $2,000 annual professional development budget for courses, conferences, and certifications. Dedicated mentorship program. Access to LinkedIn Learning and other platforms.
